IN RESPONSE to the spokeswoman from county council who stated that the shops in Frideswide Square are fully accessible, I would like to know how she defines accessible?
The last time I ventured down there – just over a week ago – I had to dodge uncollected rubbish bags, cones and other obstacles in the street.
Some places were very narrow, it was really unpleasant walking down there – a feeling shared by everyone I know living in the area.
How on earth would an elderly person, a wheelchair user, a blind or partially sighted person, not to forget someone with a pram and small children, be able to access any of the shops?
