A teenager branded Bicester's biggest troublemaker' was jailed yesterday after repeatedly ignoring the terms of his antisocial behaviour order.

Nicholas Hendon, 14, of Chalvey Road, was handed a four-month detention and training order by magistrates after admitting breaching his Asbo twice in the first five weeks. Among other conditions, he is banned from congregating in groups of more than four people in public and associating with certain individuals.

But Banbury Youth Court heard the former Bicester Community College pupil had been caught ignoring both those conditions earlier this month.

Carolyn Oakley, prosecuting, said: "Nicholas was seen on CCTV by the operator in Sheep Street. He was with a gang of 10 others. He was seen to run away when he saw a marked police vehicle."

Ms Oakley added the second breach was six days later, on April 10, when police officers in Garth Park saw him running away from a group of youths.

Hendon admitted the offence.

Shirley Selby, defending, said Hendon had not received as much support as he should have done due to sickness within the Youth Offending Team and a mistake during the previous hearing.

Magistrate Mary Hicks said: "We find that you're a persistent offender. You deliberately ignore court orders."
