Abingdon rowers won two gold medals while helping the Upper Thames to first place in the Junior Inter Regional Regatta at Nottingham on Saturday, writes Mike Rosewell.
Abingdon School won the junior 16 eights, while Julia van Campen, of Abingdon RC, was the fastest Junior 15 sculler.
St Edward's School hit the silver and bronze spots in the junior 16 coxless and coxed fours and City of Oxford were the 11th placed junior 15 double.
Wallingford and City of Oxford reached double figures in their division wins at the Abingdon Head on Sunday.
Abingdon RC and Hinksey Scullers achieved seven and four successes respectively, while Pembroke College and Queen's College got a win apiece.
