Heartthrob Daniel Radcliffe's famous full-frontal turn in Peter Schaffer's Equus is not to be followed in the West End by similar revelations from another young actor. Producer David Pugh has decided to close the play when the stars' contracts run out on June 9.
With both 'Harry Potter' Daniel and his co-star Richard Griffiths due to bow out, the producers told the Daily Telegraph they wanted to end "on a high". Replacements could be found, said Mr Pugh, but he wasn't thrilled by the thought of having to do - and he might have chosen his words a little more carefully - "a half-cocked production".
