POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a number of tyre slashings in Abingdon.
Six vehicles had their tyres damaged in East and West St Helen Street and St Helen's Wharf overnight on Sunday.
PC Maria Morrisey, Criminal Damage Co-ordinator for the Vale, said: "This is mindless and dangerous vandalism. If someone drives off, unaware of the damage, it could cause a serious collision.
"If you saw anything or know who is responsible then please contact me. "
You can contact PC Morrisey via 0845 8 505 505. If you do not wish to speak to the police or give your name you can call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
