I FIRMLY believe we should remember all those who have fought for this country and our freedom, not just once a year on Remembrance Day but every day of every week and every day of every year.
Many of them died fighting and will never see the results of their selfless actions. They are heroes, every one of them.
If it had not been for our veterans we would not be free to elect our politicians and councillors, there would be no free speech or no such thing as a letters page.
I fully accept that not everyone will agree with me. That is their right.
But, just like any election, the majority vote counts and all those who fail to vote or fail to respond to a questionnaire asking for their views count for nothing and anyone who thinks differently count for even less.
