A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following an incident in Uffington on Saturday.
A 22-year-old man was seriously assaulted in the park behind Uffington Village Hall at about 3pm. He was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where he was treated for a broken nose, facial injuries and a bleed on the brain which was potentially life threatening.
He has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
