Three Tuns A and Chinnor FC showed no signs of easing up at the top as they recorded 9-0 whitewashes in the latest round of Oxfordshire Super League matches.

Tuns went to Brackley and dropped only five legs all night as they brushed aside the league's bottom team.

Jon Jukes (27.33) and Barrie Stratford (26.66) were the pick of their winners.

Chinnor entertained second-from-bottom Goodlake and dropped only seven legs as Paul Farnes (30.06) and Tony Leone (25.47) led the way.

Masons Arms (North Leigh) had an equally comfortable 8-1 win over Cowley CC, Ade Larner (24.24) recording the top average. Ray Pape bagged Cowley's consolation.

Third-placed Steventon SC entertained White Lion and it was the visitors who came away with the spoils 5-4 as Olly Varney grabbed the ninth and deciding set.

Graham Manning (27.94) kept up his recent run of good form by winning 3-1, including a 154 finish in the third leg. Wes Topley (25.05) was Steventon's top man.

In another close game, Hundred Acres overcame Shears 5-4, although they were never behind at any stage of the proceedings.

Acres' Dave Buckingham (24.13) and Shears' Kevin Wilkins (24.10) were the top performers.
