Sir – One can no longer go anywhere in Wallingford without being aware of the increasingly disturbing problem of vehicles parking on pavements.
The Market Place, the High Street, any road in any of the housing estates, they all suffer from this selfish attitude. Some years ago the Thames Valley Police issued a small poster titled “Pavements for people” and yet noone in authority does anything about the problem – particularly our Police CommunitySupport Officers. Could the authorities now address this problem before a serious accident occurs?
I am absolutely fed up with having to put my life at risk by having to walk into the middle of a busy road to avoid the selfish and inconsiderate idiots who put their own convenience before that of others.
