THE East Oxford Community Centre celebrated 15 years of pottery classes for beginners this week.
Run by pottery teacher, Ros Collett, the classes offer adults the opportunity to get in touch with their creative side.
Ms Collett, who lives in Marston, said: “The classes are great because they provide people that are new to pottery with a wide range of creative and artistic possibilities.
“We’ve had people create everything it is possible to make within pottery, particularly sculptures.”
New potters work on making everything from sculptures to platters and bowls, using potters’ wheels and their hands.
Ms Collett added: “People have managed to realise their creative potential in our class and I would encourage more people who have never tried pottery to join up.”
Classes run every Tuesday from 11am-1pm at £10 per session.
