IT WAS much to my delight that the Dr Kelly affair has not been buried in the ground.

I was pleased to see that Gerrard Jonas is keeping the flag flying. The thing that has interested me most about this situation is the silence from his own family.

Had my husband been in this situation, I would have fought tooth and nail to clear his name.

But as far as we know, the family has remained quiet.

We all know by now there was never a full inquest.

There is no person in English history who has been refused this – it is an Englishman’s right.

I have helped a group for the last 10 years to bring to light the scandalous death that Dr Kelly suffered.

It was only by sheer chance that I met Mr Jonas.

Perhaps the interest in Dr Kelly’s case will yet bring forward some honest facts.
