FAMILY and friends of the Didcot triple-murder victims attended a private funeral yesterday.

The funeral of Philip Howard, 44, Janet Jordon, 48 and their six-year-old daughter Derin Jordon was held at Oxford Crematorium in Barton.

A ceremony took place at St John’s Chapel in the crematorium for the trio who were found murdered in their Vicarage Road home in Didcot on Saturday, May 23.

Post-mortem examinations revealed they each died of multiple stab wounds.

A body believed to be that of Jed Allen, 21, suspected of killing his half-sister, his mother and her partner was found two days later off the Marston Ferry Road in Oxford.

The family requested mourners wear bright colours and asked for donations in lieu of flowers for Seesaw, a service that helps bereaved children and young people in Oxfordshire, or the animal welfare charity Blue Cross.

Funeral director Edd Frost said: “Around 200 people attended.

“There was an abundance of bright colours, it was beautiful.”

Plans for Jed Allen’s funeral have yet to be finalised.
