Sir - Rachel Newton (Letters, March 30) doesn't like my approval of the TV programme The Great Global Warming Swindle and tells me to look at various websites.
As she suggests, I always try to check the facts about any programme I review, and the research I did provided many reasons not to be alarmist about global warming.
The Internet also led me to discover the truth about Rachel's assertion that the TV programme's scientific adviser, Martin Livermore "has no scientific qualifications".
In fact, Mr Livermore got a degree in chemistry at Pembroke College, Oxford, in 1974.
