Hojjat Ramzy, chairman of the trustees of the Iqra School at Littlemore, Oxford, tells us that wearing a niqab or full-face veil is part of the Muslim religion (Oxford Mail, March 23).
The Muslim Council of Britain says that the headscarf (hijab) is quite sufficient for women.
In which Sura of the Koran is the niqab commanded for women?
If, as Mr Ramzy says, girls of 12 feel naked without the niqab, I fear there is something wrong with them. Besides, how can we tell who or what is under the niqab?
At least one Muslim terrorist has escaped from Britain disguised in a niqab.
But that is good Muslim behaviour, is it not, Mr Ramzy?
