A 14ft inflatable lapwing landed in Wolvercote to promote a new bird survey.
As part of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds questionnaire, members of the public are being asked to send in their sightings of lapwings.
RSPB staff set up their stall at the Farmers' Market.
