RUSH-hour queues built up around Oxford tonight after separate road crashes.

Drivers suffered long delays on the A34 after a two-vehicle crash on the northbound carriageway, near the Marcham interchange. Queues were reported to be tailing back as far as the Milton interchange.

The Oxford Eastern Bypass was also partially blocked by a three-vehicle crash, close to the Mini factory, which led to delays on the dual carriageway and on surrounding roads.

Slow traffic was also reported on the northbound carriageway of the M40, between the junction with the A34 at Wendlebury and junction 11 at Banbury.
