FAIRTRADE goods have been transformed into beautiful art at a new exhibition.
To coincide with Oxfordshire Artweeks, professional artist Feng Ho transformed Fairtrade goods sold at the basement shop at St Michaels Church in Northgate into works of art depicting iconic buildings on the Oxford skyline.
Products including banana flakes, net scarves, dates, couscous and recycled coke cans have been transformed into interpretations of the River Thames, the dreaming spires, St Michael’s church tower and city flower beds.
The goods have come from as far away as Palestine, Mexico and Sri Lanka.
Shop manager Daniella Cromwell said: “I think it’s really creative.”
Ms Ho was a pupil at Oxford High School before she attended the Royal Academy to study art.
The shop opens from 10am to 5pm daily except Sundays and the exhibition runs until May 30.
