Oh dear – we told you so.

We told you that there would be problems with parking at the Leys Pool. One solution is to reopen Temple Cowley Pools so some of the people who now have to go by car can walk and cycle to a leisure centre near them.

But the stubbornness of Labour councillors is so strong they are unlikely to reverse their decisions. I hope they worry about pride coming before a fall.

There is still time to work with Save TCP and a housing association and get the best of both worlds now that they have found that there is not only a shortfall of parking space but also of water, resulting in children on waiting lists to learn to swim.
