Sir - Your correspondent (Letters, March 23) is confused about why 'food and drinks' cartons cannot be recycled with cardboard. The reason is because 'Tetrapaks' are plastic impregnated cardboard (some also have metallic liners). It is possible to recycle Tetrapaks, but not yet locally. Write to Oxfordshire County Council! Meantime you can post them as follows: Recycling - Tetrapaks, c/o Perry's recycling, Showground Road, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 6AJ On current postal rates it costs just over £2 to mail around 40 cartons - roughly an old shilling a carton. To my mind that's money well spent.
