Sir – “Man stuck in car park for short time”, “Man experiences error in Oyster card top up”: this sums up Mr Gray’s page (Gray Matter, April 16).
In the hands of authors like George and Weedon Grossmith these minor events might have been told amusingly, but this reached a new low of tedium.
The Oxford Times editorial policy is as mystifying as ever: you have so many good writers who could fill those column inches with entertaining, illuminating and thought-provoking material. Please, please give them a chance.
