Houses and shops are being raided by officers in Oxford this morning in a crackdown on stolen goods.
Dozens of police officers launched the series of raids at 7am today across the city.
Police spokesman Toby Shergold said several people had been arrested but he could not confirm numbers.
One of the premises raided was a mobile telephone shop in Cowley Road.
Mr Shergold said: "It is called Operation Bridgetown and it is investigating the handling of stolen goods.
"We are raiding a number of addresses, both domestic and commercial."
