TWO men tried to grab a 12-year-old girl as she walked home from school in Bicester.

The girl was walking along Churchill Road at about 3.50pm and as she approached the junction of Buckingham Road she was approached from behind by the men.

One of the men grabbed hold of the girl's shoulders to prevent her from walking off then both surrounded her preventing her from leaving. The girl managed to run away and saw the two men walk up Buckingham Road towards Windmill Avenue.

The men were both white and in their late twenties; one was thin with short ginger hair and beard and was wearing a black and white checked shirt and black jeans.

The other was fat with short dark hair, and wore an orange T-shirt and blue jeans. Both were described as being dirty or muddy.

Det Con Jill Morton, investigating the incident, said: "This is a worrying incident and we are treating it very seriously. The girl was very shocked, but uninjured."
