POLICE today appealed for witnesses following a burglary in Foscot, near Chipping Norton.

An offender broke into a house by forcing the dining room window, and left having stolen cash and an iPod.

Officers investigating have spoken to several villagers who said they saw a suspicious man in and around the village last Thursday.

They said he was white, aged 25-35, slim and about 5ft 10in tall, with dark blonde hair which was neat and tidy, he also had a gaunt face and was wearing light-coloured clothes.

Another resident described a man as white in his early to mid forties, 6ft tall, with dirty-blonde straight hair and skinny build. Another witness saw a man urinating in their garden on the same day.
