A man was due to appear in court today accused of defrauding an East Oxford resident out of thousands of pounds.
Richard Melhuish, of Aldermaston, near Reading, has been charged with fraud by false representation.
Melhuish allegedly posed as a pest controller to defraud a resident in Howard Street on Saturday. The 23-year-old was due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court today.
A 14-year-old boy, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, was released without charge.
