Reader David Nutt is on the lookout for Scouting memories.

He is taking a photography degree and has chosen Scouting as the topic for a project in the final year of his course.

He writes: "I would like to contact people who used to be Scouts, or who were involved in Scouting in some way, and who have kept their old Scout uniforms. I want to photograph people next to or wearing their old uniforms, to try to say something about the amount of history Scouting has.

"The age of the person would add this element of time, but also the uniform itself.

"It is continually changing and so are the badges, so a uniform from the 1950s would look very different next to one from 2007.

"The project is topical, as Scouting celebrates its 100th year in 2007.

Mr Nutt was a member of the 37th Oxford Scout troop and still helps when he is not at university.

Anyone willing to help should call him on 07713 634064, send him an email at nbutty_metroman@yahoo.co.uk or write to him at 11a Helena Road, Southsea, Hampshire, PO4 9RH.

A previous appeal by Mr Nutt for memories of Temple Cowley School in Oxford brought a good response from Memory Lane readers, for which he is grateful.
