Ramraiders crashed through a shop front and stole thousands of pounds of televisions in a dawn smash and grab.
About £3,500 worth of LCD televisions were stolen from Corbetts, in West Street, Chipping Norton, in the early hours of Saturday morning after the front grill had been ripped off and windows smashed.
An empty white Ford Sierra was found in the street after the burglars fled, which police believe was used to force open the metal shutters.
Proprietor Eric Corbett, 50, of Milton-under -Wychwood, said he was called to the shop after the alarms were set off at about 5.30am.
He said: "I saw a car in the middle of the road.
"The shop's grille was protruding through the front of the shop.
"Apparently neighbours had heard the noise and were shouting at the thieves.
"I think they were disturbed so I owe the neighbours a thank you."
Police believe the raiders may have made their getaway in a blue car, possibly an Audi.
