DETECTIVES have arrested and released a man over the rape of a woman in the city centre.
The 19-year-old woman said she was raped in an alleyway off Market Street in the early hours of Tuesday.
A man was arrested on Thursday and released on police bail while inquiries continue, a police spokesman said yesterday.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at about 2am on Tuesday to come forward and contact Det Insp Kev Elkins at Oxford CID on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
