POLICE are hunting a man who assaulted two schoolgirls and exposed himself to a woman.

n the first incident, a 14-year-old girl and her 13-year-old friend were walking along Wootton Road, Henley, at about 8.40am on Monday, March 12.

A man approached the girls and tried to drag them into an alley-way, before touching one. The girls kicked the man and ran off before alerting the police.

At about 9.30am, a 48-year-old woman was dropping off some recycling at the banks at Tesco on the Reading Road. She noticed a man in the bushes exposing himself and he started to approach her. She returned to her car and drove off.

The man is white, slim, about 5ft 8in tall, with dark straight hair. He had very tanned skin and was wearing a blue baseball cap and blue or grey trousers.

PC Janine Smallbone, of Henley police, said: "These incidents have obviously left the victims distressed and upset.

"Not all crimes of this nature are reported, as victims sometimes feel they are too minor to involve the police.

"In fact the victim in the second incident did not report it to police until she read about the first in her local paper.

"I would urge anyone who may have been a victim of this type of crime or who recognises the description of the offender to contact me urgently."
