THE Railway Inn next to Culham station has been bought by Indian restaurant owners.
Abdul Mannan and his brother Abdul Harque have promised to retain the pub and games area for the regulars.
They have seven restaurants in the Thames Valley, including in Didcot and Wallingford. The brothers have bought the Railway Inn from husband and wife Cameron and Audrey Wilson, who reopened the pub 14 years ago.
Mr Mannan said: "This is the first pub we have taken on. I like the feel of the place, right next to the railway station.
"I want to retain the pub area but transform the dining area into an exceptional dining experience. We have plans to revive the marquee outside for private functions and put on entertainment and exotic shows, including belly dancing."
Mr Cameron, 71, was in the building trade for many years at Marsh Baldon, before he and Audrey, 66, bought the pub.
He said: "It is going into a new era, but I hope the new owners will continue to keep part of it going as a traditional pub."
