THE new Peachcroft Christian Centre in Abingdon will open with two weekends of partying - and everyone is invited.
The first celebrations start today and go through to Sunday, followed by another celebration on May 18-20.
Work on the £600,000 project began in February last year, but was delayed when new builders had to be drafted in.
The original building was built in 1987 with money from an anonymous donor, but over the years it has outgrown its capacity.
The new centre includes a cinema screen and conference room. Other features in the pipeline include a garden and creche.
The centre is in the heart of the estate and represents the Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed churches, coming together as one church.
The Rev Steve Godfrey said: "We hope the Peachcroft Christian Centre will become a focus of community at Peachcroft and be a place where people can meet and have fun."
On Friday, there will be a comedy night with Polly Deal, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and include refreshments.
Saturday will be a family fun day. In the evening, there will be a teenage fashion show of Fairtrade clothing and music. Tickets cost £1.
