AMERICAN fans of folk band Fairport Convention have created box office problems at Banbury's Mill Arts Centre, by buying almost half the available tickets for two pre-Cropredy concerts.
The surge of interest means local fans could miss out - and so to avoid disappointing their regular supporters, Fairport Convention have arranged an extra show.
The concerts are the annual pre-Cropredy Festival performances at The Mill - on Monday and Tuesday, August 6 and 7, before the festival gets under way on Thursday, August 9.
Fairport bass player Dave Pegg said: "Tickets go like hot cakes, but until now we've never sold out five months in advance."
Call The Mill on 01295 279002 for more information about the extra date on Sunday, August 5.
