VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a spring clean of the Oxford Canal on Monday, as part of a national Towpath Tidy campaign.
The aim of the event is to benefit wildlife as well as improving the appearance of the canal at Oxford, between Drinkwater and Hythe Bridge.
It has been organised by British Waterways and other voluntary groups and litter, shopping trolleys, prams, traffic cones and other unusual items will all be cleared up as part of the event.
