The rich reds case costs £74 and includes four bottles of each of the following three wines

Pinot Noir Jean d'Alibert 2004, France: Better than many Burgundies at twice the price, this extraordinary wine consistently performs extremely well in blind tastings against its peers. Jean d'Alibert, which is based near Narbonne, makes an excellent range of wines, none better than this stunning Pinot Noir with its classic flavours of cherries and raspberries - a fantastic alternative to Burgundy.

Barbera d'Alba Marco Porello 2005, Italy: Rising star Marco Porello is making a name for himself by producing ultra bright, zippy and refreshing wines like this classic Barbera. This wine is full of black cherry fruit and is backed up by the grape's trademark clean acidity, making it a classic food wine that would be a perfect match for dishes such as antipasto or parma ham.

Terrazas Malbec 2005, Argentina: Situated in Perdriel, near Mendoza, and owned by the giant Champagne house Moet and Chandon, Terrazas de los Andes make well-structured and fruity wines like this classic Malbec, which is made from fruit grown at 1,067m above sea level. The wine is brimming with crisp redcurrant and plum flavours and has touches of caramel and vanilla from aging in French oak.
