POLICE today appealed for information after a car crashed in Foxcombe Road, Boars Hill.

Police officers were called at about 8am on Sunday after a white Vauxhall Astra left the road and ended up on its side in a nearby field.

A 30-year-old man was arrested a short while later.

PC Ed Turner, of Abingdon Roads Policing, said: "We know that a motorist stopped to talk to a man after the incident that we believe may have been in the car. I hope that he will get in touch with us.

"I am also very keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the car leave the road or seen it before the crash or may have seen someone they suspect may have been the driver walking in the vicinity of the crash."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Ed Turner, of Abingdon Roads Policing, on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
