A woman who assaulted Oxford United defender Rufus Brevett was sentenced to community service today.
Claire Patton, of Aylesbury Crescent, Plymouth, smashed a glass bottle over the footballer's head in a pub on February 22 last year.
She was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm by a unanimous jury and her sentence was adjourned until today for reports.

Six months before, Ms Patton had accused 37-yer-old Mr Brevett of rape, but no charges were ever brought.
