GARETH Hunt, star of The New Avengers and the face of Nescafe has died of cancer aged 65.
The TV actor had battled pancreatic cancer for the past two years.
He played Mike Gambit in The New Avengers, alongside Joanna Lumley and Patrick Macnee, and was also known to millions of TV viewers for his series of Nescafe adverts.
His agent Alexandra McLean-Williams said: "Hardly anybody knew he was ill. He continued to work, and up until New Year you would never have realised anything was wrong.
"He would have chemo one day and be on the golf course the next. The way he dealt with it was absolutely remarkable."
Hunt, who passe away at his home in Redhill, Surrey, is survived by his wife, Amanda, and three sons.
