THE public inquiry into an application for village green status for Radley Lakes will be held in the New Pavilion at Radley College from Monday, April 2, to Thursday, April 5.
If the outcome of the inquiry and resulting decision of the planning committee is to grant village green status, RWE npower would have to preserve the area.
It would throw into question the company's plans to dump spent fuel ash from Didcot power station in Thrupp Lake.
The inspector will publish a report a few weeks after the public inquiry.
Vivian Chapman, a senior barrister and an expert in village green law, will preside over the inquiry.
Oxfordshire County Council has received representations both in favour and objecting to the application.
The inspector will provide a report a few weeks after the closure of the public inquiry.
His recommendations will be presented to the first available meeting of the county council's planning and regulation committee.
