Firefighters from across Oxfordshire battled a blaze at a thatched cottage in Fawler, near Wantage, last night.
Almost 100 firefighters from 14 stations were called at about 10.15pm last night as flames ripped through the roof.
The fire, thought to have started in the chimney, was spotted by the homeowner.
Emergency crews worked throughout the night to douse the flames and protect furniture and belongings inside the house.
Nobody was injured. The two-storey house had been severely damaged by a blaze about five years ago.
