We never cease to be amazed at the antics drivers and riders get up to on the road.
In recent weeks, we have had a flurry of examples.
Motorists have been seen eating breakfast, shaving, munching on a sandwich, balancing a cup of coffee on the steering wheel, and putting on make-up, apart from making calls on their mobile phones.
Now we have a scooter rider caught texting.
Even the threat of heavier fines and points on the licence seem to be having little effect.
Police estimate that since the tougher laws came in, more than 100 motorists have been caught on their mobile phones in Thames Valley.
If the police have spotted 100, you can bet there are many more who have escaped the net.
Drivers should realise that any activity, other than having total concentration on the road, runs the risk of putting others in danger as well as themselves.
Will they never learn?
