Mark Mills, a screenwriter whose film credits include The Reckoning, an adaptation of Barry's Unsworth's Morality Play, lives in Oxford with his wife and two children. His first novel, Amagansett, of the Whaleboat House, won a Crime Writers' Association award. His latest novel, The Savage Garden (HarperCollins, £12.99) is a mystery and love story, set in Tuscany.
