A man has been arrested over attacks on a stretch of towpath in Oxford.
The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault yesterday and is now being interviewed by detectives.
Four incidents took place on the Thames towpath between Folly Bridge and Oxford University boathouses, between February 23 and 27.
In separate incidents, women were attacked by a man using a BB gun, a baseball bat and a fire extinguisher.
The 19-year-old is not the same man who was arrested by police shortly after the last attack and then released without charge.
Police do not believe there is any connection between the towpath incidents and a robbery in Bicester yesterday, in which a man with a handgun held up a woman in Middleton Stoney Road before making off with her mobile phone.
