POLICE said today that a teenager had been arrested in connection with attacks on the River Thames towpath in Oxford.
They said a 19-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault.
Four incidents took place on the Thames towpath between Folly Bridge and Oxford University boathouses, between February 23 and 27.
In separate incidents, women were attacked by a man using a BB gun, a baseball bat and a fire extinguisher.
Police said the 19-year-old is not the same man who was arrested shortly after the last attack and then released without charge.
