It seems that in this power hungry world, only the rich get their own way.
Whatever happened to the idea that people have the power?
It is clear to me that all is not well with the world when RWE npower can devastate Radley Lakes with spent fuel ash from Didcot Power Station.
How have we let this happen?
Tony Blair and David Cameron talk about "a greener world, a cleaner society, more sustainable uses of energy etc".
Yet, in our own back garden, we have not only the destruction of a beautiful wildlife habitat, but the contamination of a stunning lake with waste. What happened to the idea of sustainable energy?
Surely putting up a couple of wind turbines, instead of trying to pollute our waters and killing off rare species of wildlife, would be much more appropriate to today's 'greener society'?
So how are RWE npower getting away with it? Is it a necessity? Do we really need another lake full of death and noxious chemicals?
If we don't stop this, the green that Britain takes so much pride in will itself turn to grey.
