A climate change monster led an environmental march through the city to kick off the Oxford International Women's Festival.
More than 60 protesters wore suffragette colours - green, white and purple - as they followed one of the original routes of the 'Votes for Women' campaigners from East Oxford to Broad Street on Saturday.
Organiser Christine Eady said: "We had lots of attention as we marched through town.
"The aim of the festival is to promote women's involvement in tackling climate change."
Events are running until Sunday, March 19.
