RIVERS across the county are on Floodwatch as forecasters warned of a wet and windy night ahead.
They said there would be outbreaks of rain, some heavy with gale-force winds for a time across exposed hills and near to south-facing coasts.
Towards the end of the night, the winds will ease with the rain clearing to leave broken cloud and scattered showers.
The Environment Agency issued the Floodwatch warning, the lowest in its three-tier system, for numerous parts of the River Thames, and for the Cherwell, Evenlode, Ock, Ray, Thame and Windrush catchments.
A Floodwatch alert is issued when the flooding of low-lying land and roads can be expected.
The Environment Agency puts out the warning to families and motorists in the area to "be aware, be prepared and watch out".
No rivers in the county are on the two higher alerts - flood warning and severe flood warning.
