Sir – Isn’t it wonderful how well the traffic is moving around Frideswide Square since the traffic lights have been removed while the improvements are in progress.
No more is the backlog in St Giles, Beaumont Street, Worcester Street and Hythe Bridge Street. One can only hope Oxfordshire County Council Highways Department will realise this and do away with traffic lights when the improvements are completed. But somehow I doubt that will happen as the council do not have “logical” in their vocabulary.
