  • THOMAS COATES, 23, of Howard Cornish Road, Abingdon, admitted drinkdriving on February 18 in East Hanney, Wantage. Had 85 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 mcg. Given a 19-month driving ban and fined £180. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 costs.
  • KAREN BOTTLEY, 46, of Ashhurst Way, Oxford, admitted stealing meat worth £28.32 from a Co-op store in Rose Hill, Oxford, on January 21. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £30 compensation. Also ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
  • GEORGE CAVEN, 30, of RAF Benson, Wallingford, admitted drink-driving on February 20 in Benson, Wallingford. Had 115 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mcg. Given a 26-month driving ban and fined £1,000. Ordered to pay a £100 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.

  • ANDREW ACHILLEOS, 53, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing meat worth £109.49 from a Marks and Spencer store in Oxford on December 8, 2014. He was already on a suspended sentence for stealing issued from Oxford Magistrates’ Court on September 24, 2014. Jailed for a total of 58 days for both offences of theft. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £80.

  • DAVID CARRON, 49, of Park View, Crowmarsh Gifford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, at Abingdon Police Station, Colwell Drive, on February 5. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • JULIE RUSSELL, 48, of Leach Road, Berinsfield, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Berinsfield, on February 23. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • HARRY SARKAR, 19, of Nelson Street, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Oxford on January 17. Fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • ANTONY STUBBS, 44, of Farm Close, Chalgrove, admitted harassing a woman by sending her numerous emails and Facebook messages between January 4 and January 25. Given a community order requiring 12 weeks of alcohol dependency treatment and a nine-month supervision requirement. Restraining order until March 11, 2017. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • WAYNE THOMAS, 41, of Mill Road, Abingdon, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Abingdon on October 3.
