OMG! I still have not got over the shock.
Here I am sitting quietly to read my Oxford Mail as I have done for the last 50 years and then I get to page 25 on Friday.
I’m so overcome I’m completely at a loss.
Who decides on the contents of the Remember When feature?
Here I am looking at my dear dad John Purcell (who passed away three years ago) smiling at me.
I well remember him winning this award as the landlord of the Ampleforth Arms, which was always kept to this high standard.
Our family; myself, Steve, my brother Chris, Mum Betty and dad John really loved our time at the ‘Amp’ and I hope, if anyone still remembers us there, that you are happy and well.
