BARBERS in Kidlington collected more than £200 as they donned red and white bandanas for the Brain Tumour Charity.
Central Hair and Barbers in Oxford Road got involved in the Bandanas For Brain Tumours Day in response to their close ties with three customers who have had brain tumours.
Co-owner Norman Davies wore a red and white bandana on the day as the barber asked customers to donate while getting a trim.
The 65-year-old said: “It was fantastic and the customers have been very generous. We made just over £200 for the Brain Tumour Charity.

“The staff have all been taking the mickey out of me for wearing a bandana but I don’t mind because it is for such a good cause.
“It is one of the lesser know charities and we have given hair cuts to three customers who have had brain tumours. Two of them came in today and were really touched.
“When we cut their hair we try to disguise the scarring.”
