PEOPLE filled the banks of the Thames in Oxford to take advantage of the hottest day of the year so far.
The mercury peaked at just over 15C in Oxfordshire on Saturday, with bright sunshine for the whole afternoon.
As well as strolling along the riverbank, people took to the water in punts or sat at riverside pubs with a pint.
Oxford Brookes students Laura Dockings and Natalie Weale went to South Park to enjoy some slightly unseasonal strawberries.

Natalie, 21, said: “Eating strawberries in the park when the weather’s nice makes everything better.”
But the sun was not to last – normal service was resumed yesterday when temperatures dropped to 10C.
Still, we’ll always have the memories of that golden afternoon.
